Ted - Patina Project hi! Thanks for considering it—sorry for the delayed response, haven’t had a lot of bandwidth this month.

Neither of those options quite match the function I’m hoping for, which would be to filter or sort for age of boot in most recent photos. I’m usually looking to see how a boot looks at 6 or 12 months or longer, so just filtering by age of first photo or number of photos won’t quite help me find that—although it helps me get closer. Would it be possible to use the age of the boot in most recent photo uploads as the variable for the filter/sort function? I can see that age displayed in the album view, that’s the number I’d be looking to use for exploring the collections.

congressmancuff: I appreciate you going into more detail about the "filter by age" tool that you need. There will be a pass on improving the filters this year, and I will incorporate your feedback into the changes.

Ted - Patina Project a related feature could “sort by age”

I imagine wanting to use filters, for example a specific leather. Common ones have a lot of photos, so it would be useful to sort by oldest, that would show the photos with longest wear time first. A filter would be similar, but in reality I think I’ll want to see oldest available, not necessarily knowing if there are any boots >3 years in the filter selection.

I think this would balance the photos from new boot excitement , and bubble up new photos of older shoes (which is really what I’m on the app for!).

Zhefei Li: I appreciate you sharing your thoughts! Making it easier to surface photos of older boots is something we are working towards. Does a sort by "Longest Owned" button sound like a good idea? Here is an early design.
